Mr. Papagiannopoulos could not fail to mention the loss of the great Greek Composer Mikis Theodorakis, as the news of his death on the day of the concert caused sadness in the global music community. In the presence of His Eminence, The Archbishop of Thyateira and Great Britain Nikitas, his great work which "Thyateira Union" supports with a high sense of responsibility, as well as those present tonight, Hierarchs, the first lady of the Republic of Cyprus Andris Anastasiadis, Ministers, General Secretaries, members of the organization and the thousands of spectators who flooded this magical space responding to our call to support those in need.
Mr. Papagiannopoulos reminded also that the "union of the power of the many" is the ultimate message that Thyateira Unions stands for. The union of the power of the many was achieved in a magic way on September 3rd at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, under the sacred rock of the Acropolis, the most prominent monument of our cultural heritage. With the two great performers, Marinella and Mario Frangoulis, who united their voices for the first time together on stage, for such a special cause.
